Services available in bacteriology are: - bacteriological examination for total coliform, fecal coliform, E.Coli, fecal streptococcus, psuedomonas and Enterococcus
- microscopic examinations of water for algae.
The 54,000 tests a year performed by the bacteriological laboratory include monitoring services for several health departments, municipalities, industry and various businesses that must comply with federal and state regulations. The laboratory also provides bacteriological analysis for homeowners seeking potability results in order to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy “C.O.” as well as routine testing on wells.
